With much to celebrate, not least an abundance of new members, the Alton-based family of choirs, Luminosa, are eager to share a vibrant concert of music after their absence from live performance for almost two years.

Vivaldi’s Gloria and Rutter’s Gloria will form the explosive and energetic centre of the programme and, accompanied by Katherine Dienes-Williams, Organist at Guildford Cathedral, celebrate the return of the Choir in a wall of exhilarating sound.

A selection of James Macmillan’s Stratchclyde Motets, to include the electric ‘O Radiant Dawn’, will be performed by Luminosa Chamber Voices whose refinement of singing accentuates the moods created by Macmillan with dignified and profoundly moving effect.

The concert will also feature Luminosa’s two youth choirs, Young Voices and Rising Voices, performing a range of works based on the theme of Gloria!

Luminosa is delighted to be performing at St Andrew’s Church, Farnham on Saturday 27th November at 7.30pm. The choirs have performed there many times and are excited to once again fill the spacious and welcoming church with a ‘glorious’ sound of joy, energy and hope.
